Bhutan is situated in the Eastern Himalayas of southern Central Asia and is bordered on the north and Northwest by the Tibet Autonomous Region of China and to the west, Southwest, south and east with Indian states of Sikkim, West Bengal, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Bhutan is a landlocked mountain kingdom roughly the size of Switzerland, in the eastern Himalayas. With a population of 600,000 spread over 46,000 sq km.

You start the trip by overland from Phuentsholing a border between Bhutan and Darjeeling, India. You can visit most of the places in Bhutan is including Phuentsholing, Thimphu, Punkkha Dzong & Paro in this package. Please find the following day by day itinerary for the trip.

DAY 01: DARJEELING / PHUENTSHOLING
Arrive Phuentsholing (From the Indian region of Darjeeling, Gangtok and Kalimpong it is possible to travel to Bhutan by road). O/N in Phuentsholing. (L/D)
 
DAY 02: PHUENTSHOLING / THIMPHU
This morning drive to Thimphu. Visit Kharbandi Gompa and lunch at Bunakha. O/N in Thimphu.  (B/L/D)

DAY 03: SIGHTSEEING IN THIMPHU
Sightseeing at Memorial Chorten, National Library, Nuns Monastery, Changlimithang Monastery,
Indegenous Hospital. Lunch at Hotel. After lunch at leisure. At 5 P.M. you will visit the Tashichdzong (Thimphu Dzong). O/N in Thimphu. (B/L/D)

DAY 04: THIMPHU / PUNKHA DZONG
3 hour drive to Punkha across the Dochula Pass. Light refreshment will be served at Dochula Cafe.
Lunch at Hotel. After lunch visit the Punkha Dzong. O/N in Punkha Dzong. (B/L/D)

DAY 05: PUNKHA DZONG / THIMPHU
In the morning drive 3 hour to Gantay Gompa. Pack lunch will be served. After lunch drive back to Thimphu. O/N in Thimphu (B/L/D)

DAY 06: THIMPHU / PARO
Morning proceed for Paro, enrooted visit Simtokha Dzong. After lunch visit Kyichu Lhakhang, Ta-Dzong (National Museum), Rinpung Dzong and Paro\'s market. O/N in Paro. (B/L/D)

DAY 07: PARO
After breakfast, visit Drukgyel Dzong and take full day excursion to view the Taktsang (Tiger\'s Nest) monastery. O/N in Paro. (B/L/D)

DAY 08: PARO / KATHMANDU
Depart ParoTransfer to the airport for your onward flight from Bhutan. (B)
